About Us - Mission Statement
Church on the Go began with the foundation of a word from the lord; according to the scripture reference written in the book of Mark's gospel chapter 16:15. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. According to the statement that Jesus makes in the book of Matthew 16:18; and I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. So, as long as we have a word from the lord to continue to move forward; pressing toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God's plan, to preaching the gospel to them that are lost; we believe that much people are going to be saved.
For it is written again in 1 Corinthians 10:13-15; For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach except they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
So, we believe that when the bible says; as it is written in (Luke 4:18-19); The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted; to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. So again basing our mission statement on the word of God; we find the scripture reference as our foundation written in the book of (Matthew 25:34-40); which says, Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, come you who have been blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and homeless, and you took me into your house. I was naked and you gave me your clothes to wear. I was sick and in the hospital, and you came to visit me. I was in prison and you came to encourage me. Then shall the righteous answer him saying, Lord when did we see you hungry, and gave you something to eat? Or thirsty, and gave you something to drink? Or when did we ever see you as a stranger or homeless, and took you into our house? Or naked and gave you something to wear? Or when were you in the hospital sick or in prison, and came to visit with you there? And the King shall answer them, verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as you have done this unto one of the very least of people, you have done it unto me!
So for over twenty years we have built the ministry that the Lord has chosen for us to fulfilling His will, and not ours simply by what is written in the scriptures. In the book of James chapter one verse twenty two the bible says; But be you doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Today unless the Church of the living God is on the Go, we are stuck in a religious organization complacent in a cement ritual of attending church services, but are angry at those even in the same denomination; feeling that we are better then they in a spiritual promotion; because we pray; fast, and give our tithes. Not realizing that the lost doesn't want to come into religious steps of knowing God, when there are obstacles trying to keep us out, because they know to much about our sinful lifestyle. So to keep us in the place where the dead have been laid; they place the stones, (the words of condemnation); in front of the tombs to keep the words of the Resurrected Christ out. But, the good news is that Jesus comes to the tombs; to the prisons; to the hospitals; to the motorcycle rallies; to the dinners where sinners are gathered together and invites them; not to be a part of the membership of a religious order, but being born again in order to enter the kingdom he had prepare for all; that confess with there mouths, that Jesus is lord and believing in their hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, so they can get saved; (Romans 10:9)!
And that's where Church on the Go is yielding it's self to fulfilling the Lord's calling upon this ministry; to reaching the lost at any cost, been paid in full by the sacrifice of God's only begotten Son on a wooden cross! But before the attempts of
laboring in the Lord's harvest is complete, we have had to search the scriptures to lay the foundation that it would not be by might; nor by power, but by His Spirit says the lord.
So, we read again as it is written in (1 Corinthians 9:17- 23); For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward; but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me. What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel. For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law. To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ), that I might gain them that are without law. To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak; I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. And this I do for the gospel's sake that I might be partaker therefore with you.
And so with all that said I have been humbled under the mighty hand of a gracious Savior, to be known simply as a servant of the most High!
