Aloha, Church on the Go Inc. (COTG) has been hosting a Christmas Block Party every year (except for during pandemic & after Lahaina fires) for the past 25 years. This year, the 25th Annual Christmas Block Party is being held on Sunday, December 14, 2025. It is free for the homeless and shelter kids of Maui with their family. In recent years, with covid, devasting fires of Lahaina families are still recovering from, and now federal furloughs and working without pay, more families are struggling and we hope to be a light during this time. Individuals, businesses, bike and car clubs have been instrumental in gathering donations and toys so that every child receives a gift. A delicious catered Hawaiian holiday lunch is also provided by the church, so that the children and their families can enjoy a hot meal. If you feel it in your heart to donate time, gifts or financial assistance please use the enclosed form on the flier and mail back to us (or bring with you when you drop off donations). If you know someone that would benefit from this event, please invite them to attend. Free entertainment, face painting, lunch, gifts for the children – fun and fellowship for all. Together we all come together to bring a smile to the children who otherwise would not have a Christmas meal or celebration. Our love and prayers go out to Maui, especially West Maui, as fires in Lahaina & Kula. As we navigate the road to recovery, we send our prayers and aloha to all who lost homes, lives of loved ones, and those still searching.
Please note that Church on the Go office has also burned down, but we are safe. We thank those who have donated to the Church, and we apologize if on tax-deductible letters as they may take a while to get to you as we work on getting a temporary office up and running . Please know that as the Church continues its mission in the community, we are not managing any funds to be distributed to the community - we do not have the resources to do so. We are accepting general donations to continue our mission within our community, in addition to helping those affected by the fire as best as we can. We appreciate any donation you are called to make to Church on the go. There are many established organizations who are distributing to the community - please donate to them if you wish for it to go directly to the affected members. If you wish to contribute to the people who have lost homes many have GoFund Me accounts, Venmo accounts. Members of the community has created google doc of families and Instagram asking for help (please beware of scams) As always, any organization or person you wish to donate to please do your due diligence.
